   Welcome to the Events page of Yahweh's Assembly in Messiah. This is the best place to go within our site to learn of what is going on within our Assembly. You will find links to past events to read about the occasion and view some pictures of those special times. You can also learn below more about our services - when and how generally conducted. Please feel free to browse around and, should you desire more information, do not hesitate to contact us. If there is information you would like to see added to the Events, also let us know.

Weekly Sabbath Services

   Services are held every Sabbath (Saturday) currently commencing at 1:00 PM. They are conducted in the Tabernacle located in the midst of our campground. We generally begin by having songs and welcoming, followed by a Sermonette, Announcements, Special Offerings to Yahweh (primarily Songs of Praise), Sermon, and a Blessing Upon the Assembly. Services generally conclude around 3:00-3:30 PM and is followed by a Fellowship Meal in our Dining Hall. New Moon Sightings

   The new moon for Yahweh's 13th month was seen by many brethren around the Continental United States including Oklahoma, New Mexico, Virginia and Missouri. According to very reliable sources in Jerusalem, the barley was nowhere near mature enough to constitute the "green ears" for commencement of His New Year. Therefore, Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread will, according to Yahweh's will, be held in April.

   It is very important that we be in the habit of checking for new moons on a monthly basis. As Genesis 1:14 states, Yahweh made the lights to divide the day from the night and for signs, seasons, days and years. So, if we are to know when His months and years begin, we must, of necessity, watch for the new moons. In accordance with Deuteronomy 16:1, it is imperative that we note the new moon of "green ears" (Abib). That new moon determines the beginning of Yahweh’s year and is our starting point to calculate the set-apart days--the high Sabbaths. The sighting of the Seventh Month new moon is also vital, again, to calculate His Special Days.

    We, at Yahweh’s Assembly in Messiah, try to be diligent in watching for the New Moon every month. However, there are times when it is impossible to observe due to weather conditions. According to the Scriptures which say that by two or three witnesses truth is established (Deuteronomy 17:6 and 19:15), we seek two witnesses for the observance of a new moon within the Continental United States for it to be a valid new moon sighting. We use the Continental United States because that is where we are keeping the feast. In the past, we have had sincere people who were unfamiliar with sighting the new moon, call in sightings and learned later that they saw the moon on the wrong side of the setting sun. Therefore, we ascertain that the folks spotting the moon are seasoned moon watchers and know what to look for. It is imperative that we do the best we can at keeping Yahweh’s feast days when He wants them kept.

Upcoming Special Days

   As the Feast of Unleavened Bread ended, we began our count toward the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). Please make plans to join us for the annual back-to-back Sabbaths, Weekly Sabbath June 14, 2008, followed by the Feast of Weeks on Sunday, June 15, 2008.
