EVENTS PAST, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread 2008    The Passover Memorial was held on Saturday evening, April 19, 2008, commencing at 7:30 PM. The Memorial is a solemn occasion. It was attended by approximately 80 people, began with a meal and then proceeded to the taking of the emblems and washing of each other's feet.  You may learn more about Passover by reading our booklet, Passover - A Day to Remember.    The Memorial service took place in our dining hall, officiated by Elder and Pastor George Garner.  All were attentive as he read the words of our loving Messiah Yahshua as recorded in the New Covenant.  The dinner was a delicious matzos ball soup and salad prepared with love by some of the sisters in the faith.    The Feast of Unleavened Bread was held from Monday, April 21, through Sunday, April 27.     We had a baptism just a few days prior to Passover--it is always exciting to see new brothers and sisters immersed in His Almighty Name! There were over 100 folks present for the High Days and a record number of folks stayed on the campground premises for all or part of the entire week.      There were activities scheduled every day which were extremely well-attended. They included meals followed by Bible Studies conducted by deacons and elders in the Assembly; a walk on the Katy Trail (even a little bit of cave-investigating by some of the more ambitious!); a presentation on a comparison of Catholicism and Islam; a Pie Walk; and a cookout of delicious chicken. We could not give a report without mentioning the "late-night" crew who spent half the night engrossed in scriptural studies!      What a blessing to be able to enjoy His days and times with brethren in the Faith!
